How to use Domain Names to
increase traffic
Do you want to do more with your website, but have
no idea how to get more traffic? Have you seen the thousands of domain
names for ebooks out there that supposedly offer the next new idea
that seems too good to be true? You really can’t get rid of the “get
rich quick” advertising that seems to pop up everywhere. The trick is
to get all the possible traffic to your web site with the least amount
of cost and the most amount of benefit. This sounds simple, but
apparently it isn’t. There are books, programs and software out there
that suggest that you pay crazy dollar amounts to just look at the
material. This material is chalk full of common sense and real useless
instructions that it’s almost disturbing that people get away with it,
especially after selling it to people for such obscene amounts of
money. Yes, someone is getting rich, but it sure isn’t you!
There are ways using additional domain names that you will be able to
grab that extra traffic that you so desire to your website. The more
traffic you get, the more chances of getting more out of it, like
business or other forms of click payments like Google Adwords or other
such click tools.
Register additional Domain Names
One way to increase traffic is to register more
domain names and point them to your main web site. The key is to
register domain names that can be spelling mistakes such as if you had
the domain something.ca, so you register something.com, something.net,
somthin.biz and so on. It may sound weird, but people type fast and or
incorrectly, so they either get a non-existing domain name or go to an
entirely different website. Why would you want to lose traffic to
that? The key is to get people to get to your site by a variety of
different means. Ultimately, you want to cover the common spelling
mistakes and typing mistakes (ie goggle.com and google.com). Also,
cover niche domains so that people, if they forget your domain or are
looking for products and services related to your domain, they can
virtually get to your website by typing in something totally different
(ie webhosting and hostingweb). Domains are cheap these days and you
can register them for as low as $7.95 at registrars like godaddy.com.
You will earn your investment back in no time. Try this and see where
it goes. The cost to do this is far less than to take a chance on a
product that won’t likely help you much at all, IF any.
